Katie Hoff is only 15, but already she is making her own mark in history. This year, at the 2004 Spring Nationals, Hoff showed the swimming world that she was a serious contender for an Olympic berth by winning the 400m IM. She then equalled this performance with another victory at the Olympic Trials, but this time the rewards were even greater: the second fastest time in U.S. history earned this young swimming a spot on the Olympic Team. Katie swam again in the 200 IM and became the first double winner of the trials, securing yet another spot on the Olympic team.
