At the United States Figure Skating Nationals in 2001, a new skater leaped into the spotlight. Joan Cristobal, who had finished 5th at the 2000 Nationals, was crowned Junior National Figure Skating Champion. With this big win, Joan showed that she was ready to become a star in the sport of Figure Skating. Joan, now skating as a senior skater, has proved that she is one to watch.
